How do I FTP with Internet Explorer?
A quick and easy way to upload files is to use Microsoft Internet Explorer (newer versions only)
  1. First open a window to the files you wish to upload.
  2. Open an internet explorer window.
  3. In the address bar of the Explorer window, type:
    ftp://userid@members.citynet.net for personal webspace or
ftp://userid@www.domainname.com for a domain ftp account
  4. A pop-up window will appear with your user name in the appropriate field. You will then need to type in your password and choose enter.
  5. Go back to the window where your files are located on your computer. Choose the files that you want to upload. (To choose random files, hold down the ctrl key and left click with the mouse.)
  6. Go to the Edit menu and choose Copy.
  7. Go back to the Explorer window. Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste. This will upload your files to the server.
If the site files and sub-directories are NOT viewable,
  1. go to the Tools menu in Explorer.
  2. Choose Internet Options.
  3. Choose the Advanced tab. Under Browsing, be sure that the sixth option is checked Enable FTP browsing. (For Internet Explorer 5.0 - 5.5). For Internet Explorer 6.0, having a check in this box disables FTP browsing, so remove the check.
